Accounts Receivable Specialist
Breen & Sullivan Mechanical Services, Inc.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to play an integral role in ensuring our company’s financial health through diligent management of incoming payments and maintaining accurate financial records.

Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• At least two years of related experience required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to track payments, make bank deposits, and run reports
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
• Strong knowledge of financial software and bookkeeping practices
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions
• Create invoices and submit to customers
• Update customer accounts with name or address changes
• Identify slow-paying or past due customers
• Communicate with delinquent customers to request payment
• Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
• Perform account reconciliations, manage and record all invoices, and process payments
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
