Role Overview:    
This Solutions Consultant (SC) position involves significant selling skills to address business issues alongside of the technical elements. The Solutions Consultant will work daily with the sales team to focus on selling solutions geared towards solving business problems and adding value. This position will also communicate with product development, product management, product marketing, and support. The right candidate will also be responsible for presales technical activities, including technical presentations, value-based solution and point demos, technical solution/needs analysis, Proof of Concept installations and management, and writing proposal responses. This Solutions Consultant position is located in the UK and will serve regional needs.   
This is a hybrid position working 2 days a week in our Kings Cross office.   
Responsibilities:     
  • Develop and deliver custom demonstrations of ON24’s suite, tailored to prospects needs
  • Team-up effectively across the organization, pulling in resources as needed, to ensure that we are positioning and delivering a value-based sales approach that results in quota attainment.
  • Scope, discover and uncover the prospect business requirements and define the needed elements of our solution to meet those needs.
  • Map prospect business requirements to ON24’s offerings, to be used in solution showcasing and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate, manage, and execute Proof of Concepts, virtually & on-site, with sales prospects.
  • Work internally with the RFP team alongside sales to write and complete our proposal responses and provide input to the recommended solution.
  • Work with the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Successfully become certified on all training programs to develop a detailed understanding of ON24’s offerings to deliver differentiated value propositions and solutions to prospective clients.
  • Become a point of enablement and training for sales representatives.
  • Actively participate in sales strategy and positioning meetings and trainings.
  • Provide consistent and regular roadmap reviews with both clients, prospects, and fellow team members.
  • Share knowledge in terms of prospect requirements, competitive insights, and product feedback with internal teams and product managers for roadmap consideration.
  • Complete technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and prospect questionnaires as required.
  • Manage proof-of-concepts and provide guidance for prospects/clients evaluating the ON24 platform.
  • Plan, manage and execute platform and streaming tests for all aspects of the service with clients and prospects when needed.
  • Provide product and technical assistance to sales, account managers and customer support as needed to help up-sell/cross-sell new products and services to existing clients as well as helping with retention activities.
  • Assist product development and engineering groups with product requirements definition, beta test programs, and other tasks as needed.
  
Skills & Experience:    
  • Client facing software sales, account management client support is essential.
  • Minimum 3+ years as a Sales Rep, Technical Sales/Account manager, Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Sales Consultant experience.
  • A BA/BS degree, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Previous working experience supporting/selling software-as-a-service (SaaS), CRM’s, Marketing Automation Systems highly desired.
  • Outstanding English with strong written, and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex client needs and corresponding functionality in writing.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, map them to the solution and deliver relevant and compelling value-based demonstrations.
  • Database marketing, online marketing, web analytics experience and/or domain knowledge is a definite asset.
  • Willingness to be a team player with a good attitude.
  • Desire to learn/be trained to best expand knowledge and experience.
  • Self-driven to continually expand knowledge and keep up to date with industry and market trends, etc.
  • Several years of sales or presales experience required with enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Excellent at working with wide spectrum of clients and prospects: C-level executives, marketing managers, and IT professionals.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
