Position Summary:

As Technician II, Supply Chain, you will be experienced in the supply chain needs of a manufacturing facility. The role will be part of a high-performing team focused on supply chain and logistics projects adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The location of this position is at OmniaBio’s Hamilton, Ontario, facility. This position is site-based, with work hours adhering to a designated pattern of 12-hour shifts. The primary role is to support materials flow and maintain control and accuracy of inventories and supplies, including all transactions, procurement, planning and costing, to ensure the required materials are purchased and available to support the production of customer orders. Extensive training will be provided at the Canadian Advanced Therapies Training Institute, located at the University of Guelph.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows OmniaBio’s policies, standard operating procedures and GMP documentation, adhering to Good Documentation Practice.
  • Responsible for individual shipments and supplier performance to ensure client timelines are met.
  • Responsible for material both in the OmniaBio facility and in external storage areas.
  • Identifies, develops and manages relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet OmniaBio’s goals and delivery targets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinates and analyzes customer shipments, ensuring all requirements are met (tracking, temperature and delivery time).
  • Utilizes the SAP enterprise resource planning system to support supply chain activities.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the individual, co-workers and visitors to the warehouse area.
  • Participates in investigations to derive root cause of non-conformance activities.
  • Adopts the OmniaBio Operating Model and embraces a continuous improvement approach to all work activities.
  • Advises the Supply Chain Manager/Supervisor of any issues that may impact service to customers.
  • Engages in training and development, and takes on increased responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2-year college program plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with warehousing/logistics in a GMP environment.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
