Job Description: 

Omitron, Inc. is seeking Test Conductors for the development, integration, test, and mission operations of a NASA science instrument or satellite mission.  Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the testing and validation of instrument, ground, flight, and launch segments, including functional tests, interface tests, end-to-end tests, environmental tests, mission simulations, and launch rehearsals.
  • Work with hardware leads and systems engineers in the development and verification of command procedures, mission operations plans, procedures and scripts.
  • Participate in testing activities including the configuration and monitoring of flight systems and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
  • Participate in work order generation, execution and closeout activities.
  • Provide operations support including real-time test & operations, health & safety monitoring, performance analysis and trending, and anomaly investigation and resolution
  • Participate in maintenance and configuration management of operations procedures and operations products
  • Coordination with NASA customer and interfacing organizations, status reporting

  • Candidate must be willing to work occasional extended and off-shift hours to support testing activities.
  • Candidate may be required to work in a noisy or dirty test environment that can be subject to temperature extremes.

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years prior flight operations or I&T experience on a NASA mission. 
  • Knowledge of spaceflight systems, environmental testing, Electrical Ground Support Equipment, and mission operations preparation and certification processes.
  • Candidate must be fluent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Candidate must have prior programming and trouble- shooting experience and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Experience:         

  • Experience with ITOS, ASIST or equivalent operating system for a test environment.
  • Systems Test and Operations Language (STOL) procedure development.

Required Degree:     

BS degree in relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science, Math). Relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree
