Job Description:

Omitron is seeking a Mission Integration Lead Engineer for Engineering, Development, Integration, and Sustainment (EDIS) Services program.  This position shall support the Space and Missile Systems Center Advanced Systems & Development Directorate (SMC/ AD) to develop, deploy, modernize, and expand the EDIS program and its customers. This position is located in Albuquerque, NM.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Oversees and manages the introduction of new missions for the EDIS program for the Multi-Mission Space Operations Center environment. 
  • Coordinates at all levels between the EDIS team and the new mission team to ensure the EDIS requirements, test and integration plans and schedules are defined. 
  • Ensures that all cost, performance and schedules are met to meet the mission requirements 
  • The Mission Integration Lead is a multi-disciplinary role that applies broad space and ground control system experience to ensure a smooth mission integration from concept of operations through requirements gathering, development, testing, verification and validation and final transition to operations. 
  • Translates the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex solutions and integrating architecture.
  • May include analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and may develop architecture baselines.
  • Assists with and leads development of integration, migration plans/schedules.
  • Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems.
  • May support ISR and C4ISR programs/clients/systems.
  • Supports business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong systems engineering and integration background with experience in ground control systems
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Product Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Good understanding of discipline process; information and data management
  • Contributes to the completion of programs and projects; ability to obtain results and make recommendations
  • Ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data

Required Experience

12 years' experience in Systems Engineering and Integration for Space or Missile Systems, Advanced Systems Development, or Ground Systems and Space Operations.

Required Degree

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Related field.

Job Location:

Albuquerque, NM.  May require work at Kirtland AFB.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must possess active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance
