Job Description:

Omitron is seeking a highly qualified candidate to support SpOC/S2Z as a contract staff member. The candidate shall be responsible for intelligence support to all aspects of the IJSTO office to include providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) input to the Phoenix Echo process for HQ USSF capabilities. This includes providing planning and exercise execution support to the HQ USSF IJSTO exercise plan.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) intelligence support to include operational planning, on-going capability employment, and exercise support.
  • Represent SpOC/S2Z as an intelligence SME at Review and Approval Process (RAP) meetings, Operational Planning Team meetings (OPT), Special Programs CDRs Update Brief (SPCUB), IJSTO Working Group (STOWG), Weapon and Tactics Conference (WEPTAC) and other SEW operational intelligence forums to identify and support development of intelligence requirements, intelligence processes, and development of courses of action to address shortfalls.
  • Develop and provide response and staff packages to Higher Headquarters (HHQ)-directed Evaluation Request Messages (EReqM) or HQ USSF Evaluation Response Message (EResM).
  • Develop, Review, and provide comment to CCMD CONOP, Orders, OPLAN/CONPLAN Annex S, Fact sheet and Quad charts, Apportionment Packages and other IJSTO products as required.
  • Support HQ USSFs exercise program by providing oversight, management and control of HQ USSF units and space events for exercises; tracking accomplishment and compliance via the Lessons Learned process with items such as objectives, scenarios, road-to-war, organizational structure and campaign plans.
  • Attend Joint Event Lifecycle (JELC) planning conferences, plan exercises and training events involving HQ USSF organizations by gathering information, coordinating with other key players (internal/external), and integrating their inputs in HQ USSF planning with the goal of developing a baseline playlist in keeping with the exercise epoch and maturity of HQ USSF IJSTO capabilities.
  • Develop exercise academics to educate HQ USSF leadership and staff of existing or emerging capabilities.
  • Identify and develop space-related scenario requirements and events to meet participating HQ USSF unit training objectives.
  • Work with HQ SpOC/S3T, Distributed Mission Operations Center for Space (DMOC-S) and other exercise participants to identify HQ USSF specific exercise execution requirements.
  • Attend exercise in progress-reviews (IPR) to record information, and provide to the GPOC for their review and decision.
  • Support the HQ USSF units involved in exercises, and enable IJSTO interactions with other IJSTO offices and agencies participating in the exercise.

Desired Skills and Experience:

10+ years space operations experience including: 6+ years MAJCOM headquarters experience; experience working in classified (SAP/SAR) space environment; experience with AF instruction documents and HQ USSF supplements, using AFSPC and HQ USSF tool sets (e.g., TMT/NGeS, and MS Office); comprehension of preparation, development, review, and coordination processes with documents and deliverables across all security levels (Unclassified, Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR).

Desired Degree: 

BA/BS desired

Clearance and Other Requirements:

TS/SCI clearance (SAP/SAR eligible day 1)
