Job Description:

Seeking a network engineer to support existing programs which are creating a DevOps model for network support. Must have proficient understanding of basic network configuration as well as a great overall understanding of how different network topologies communicate. Preferably with existing systems administration experience to support the integration of network devices into the beginning of a CI/CD pipeline. Preferred previous experience with Ansible, NetConf, Jenkins, Bamboo, Netconf, Yang Modeling, Kubernetes or other DevOps automation and pipeline tools as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years network operations experience
  • 2-3 years systems administration experience
  • Experience working in an environment utilizing network and systems automation methods.
  • CCNA/JNCIA and 2-3 years of experience with multi-vendor network hardware.
  • Working knowledge and experience with dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, , etc.
  • Strong understanding of Layer-2 networks from both a network as well as systems administration view.
  • Strong understanding of software defined networking (SDN) with an emphasis on VMware distributed switching
  • Working knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
  • Working knowledge of Palo Alto or Cisco Fire Power firewalls.

 This position requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Experience (Level):

 Mid, Level 3

Additional Skillset(s):

  • Experience with Agile or DevOps project management styles.
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP with 2-3 years of experience with Cisco systems.
  • Juniper JNCIA or 2-3 years of experience with Juniper network hardware.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Ansible or Netconf for network automation.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Jenkins or Bamboo CI/CD platforms.
  • Ability to code or create scripts in Python.
  • VMware administration

Security Clearance and Other Requirements:

A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.  The selected applicant will be subject to a government background security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
