Job Description:

Omitron is seeking a Hardware Engineer for Engineering, Development, Integration, and Sustainment (EDIS) Services program.  This position conducts research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing new products or modifying existing products within the EDIS program. 
  • Developing EDIS technical specifications and analyzes EDIS hardware configurations. 
  • Processing EDIS solutions and testing hardware conformance to and compliance with USAF specifications.
  • Apply extensive technical expertise of related disciplines.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong hardware systems engineering background
  • Familiarity with network and system components and tools
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Product Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Good understanding of discipline process; information and data management
  • Contributes to the completion of programs and projects; ability to obtain results and make recommendations

Required Experience

  • 9 years' experience in Hardware Engineering for Space or Missile Systems, Advanced Systems Development, or Ground Systems and Space Operations.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliance (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) may be required for this position

 Required Degree

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Related field.

Job Location:

Colorado Springs, CO.  May require work at Schriever AFB.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must possess active TS/SCI clearance
