A Thomas Built Bus by Ohio CAT Sales Representative has a primary responsibility of generating new leads and business by calling on new and existing customers.  The representative will work with fleet owners to specify, quote, and demonstrate the value of Thomas Built Buses within their assigned area of responsibility.  The customer base is comprised of public schools, private schools, private companies, and individual owners all of whom may require a different sales strategy.  The sales representative is also responsible for identifying key accounts, creating sales strategies, and executing actions to win incremental business and grow market share within the assigned accounts. 


Excellent verbal & written communication skills, customer-oriented. Familiar and literate with CRM tools and Microsoft Products. Able to handle multiple tasks, organized, and detail-oriented.  A self-starter with the ability to learn technical material.   A good communicator, able to work with customers, and internal personnel.   Strong sales aptitude, highly motivated, and excellent computer skills.


Two-Five years of sales experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and the ability to obtain a CDL if necessary.  Related bus experience preferred. Residence in the Cincinnati or Dayton area desired.



Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
