JOB SUMMARY:
The Procurement Intern will assist the Procurement and Accounting teams with various projects and administrative tasks. This role includes supporting mailroom and reception coverage during vacations and downtime, as well as working on documentation creation and cleanup for procurement, expense, and fleet areas. The intern will gain exposure to multiple areas of responsibility and business processes while contributing to process improvement and organizational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide mailroom and reception coverage as needed.
· Assist with documentation creation and cleanup for procurement, expense, and fleet processes.
· Support ongoing projects in fleet management and other procurement-related areas.
· Learn and contribute to different areas of responsibility within the department.
· Complete special projects and tasks as assigned.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
· Interest in procurement, fleet management, and process improvement.
· Excellent people skills and ability to provide customer service to internal customers.
· Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.
· Ability to multitask and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications and internet navigation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting, stand or sit for prolonged periods, occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist, lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including use of a computer keyboard, and verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
