JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

 

The Rental Inside Sales Rep is to develop an understanding of the needs of the customer for the Cat Rental Store, while contacting dormant and inactive accounts, and specified market segments of focus.

  • Concentrate on new rental account growth in targeted market segments via the phone or electronically.
  • Identify and generate leads for the rental business
  • Call on Dormant and Inactive Accounts to generate new business
  • Record all calls and leads in Sales Link (CRM) and be sure all leads are followed up on
  • Maintain and build Positive Relationships with customers
  • Always provide Superior Customer Service
  • Handle all customer complaints and track they are being followed up on.
  • Accounts and Segment focus will be provided by management.
  • Learn and know competitive pricing and tendencies.
  • Use Ohio CAT Digital offerings with good understanding of Customer “Logged-in” offerings.
  • Monthly attainment of call objectives will be a primary metric for determining the individual performance factor, as well as revenue and customer retention.
  • Lost rent report is to be completed daily.
  • Will work associated trade shows representing rental if required.
  • Must understand, and be able to effectively explain the company’s REP policy
  • Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
  • Follow established procedure to communicate with service dept. on equipment related issues.
  • Assist with Physical Inventory & Cycle Counts as needed
  • Assist Strategic Account Manager on special projects or customer required information.
  • If needed, may be asked to assist in delivery of smaller rental items using Ohio CAT Company pick up. I.e. light plants, small pumps/hose, generators, etc.

Work closely with all personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

Promotes add-on sales & attachments to all rentals.

Must be a source of information to customers about related equipment and services available in the local markets.

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree preferred, or related industry experience.

Understands usage and applications of all rental equipment and services offered. Must recognize difference between similar products and the advantages / disadvantages of particular applications.

Must have working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications.

Computer skills to include: Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Integrated Rental Systems

Must possess excellent phone skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
