JOB SUMMARY: 

The Hydraulics Service Technician will be responsible for machining, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, tight tolerance specifications, use of instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including manual engine lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical boring mill, horizontal saw, overhead crane, forklift, and other related equipment & tooling.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate minimum
  • Three - Five years of machine shop experience is desired, preferably in a repair or equipment maintenance-related environment, though other industry experience will be considered.
  • CNC experience is a plus but not required. 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators, among others.  
  • Requires exercising good judgment and utilizing best machining practices.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull
  • Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Dexterity Normal
  • Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
