JOB SUMMARY:
- The Assistant Warranty Manager's primary responsibility is to supervise the Truck Group Warranty Analysts, providing leadership and support for the processing of warranty claims specific to repair orders within the Truck Group Service departments.
- This position will oversee the entire Truck Group warranty process, including submitting claims, organizing receipts, communicating variances, and resolving variances to the income statement.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Truck Group Warranty team.
- Assist with ensuring operational excellence by working closely with team members. Keep the Truck Group Warranty team on track for regularly scheduled internal and customer deliverables.
- Train and mentor the warranty team for individual and overall success.
- Work collaboratively with others to contribute to the Department and Company's team effort.
- Work with the Truck Group personnel on warranty issues, processes, and procedures to insure maximum claim reimbursement most efficiently and ethically.
- Develop and implement warranty-related policies, procedures, work instructions, and job aids, and promote their effective and efficient application.
- Communicate information to all parties involved on warranty issues and concerns. Review control reports and clear variances as needed.
- Assist with reporting and dashboards helpful to the Warranty and Service Departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field involving finance and automotive.
- Minimum five years of experience working in a dealership setting. Supervisor, team lead, and project management experience are preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of accounting software and database systems used in repair order processing, accounting of receipts, financial statement/data analysis, and variance clearances.
- Strong PC skills related to cloud-based OEM systems, as well as proficiency with spreadsheet programs such as MS Excel, are essential.
- Ability to travel as needed, with 40% of travel time spent at Ohio Machinery locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
