Job Summary: Under direction from the Director of Slots, responsible for installing, converting, servicing, and repairing gaming machines and systems.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Troubleshoots and repairs gaming machines and related equipment to the common component level (diverter solenoid driver, hopper drive relay, etc.)
  • Performs installations, conversions and preventative maintenance of gaming and other non- gaming equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal and LTBB Tribal regulations.
  • Ensures the accuracy and completion of required documentation as it relates to the position.
  • Assists with the training of team members.
  • Responds to floor calls in an expeditious manner and assists in resolving guest issues when required.
  • Safely and effectively operates shop equipment including hand tools, soldering equipment, and some electronic test equipment.
  • Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
  • Attend all meetings as required.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily.
  • Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Work at other properties as needed.
  • Performs all other duties within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two (1-2) years of electrical/mechanical background or previous non-technical slot operations experience may be considered.
  • Must have basic understanding of electronic theory.
  • Must have the ability to use hand and power tools, along with the ability to operate testing and calibration instrumentation.
  • Must have basic math and computer skills.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, kneel, crawl and lift or move objects weighing more than one hundred (100) pounds.
  • You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
  • Must have the ability to be frequently exposed to heat, cold, heights, chemicals, noise, second-hand tobacco smoke and moving mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Must possess the ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
