Responsibilities: 
Modern Workplace Engineer will be responsible for technical project delivery for customer facing solutions. This can include but is not limited to deployment planning for SharePoint on premise or SharePoint online, content evaluation and migration, integration with Teams and OneDrive, Intranet redesigns, PowerApps and Power Automate. In collaboration with project team members understand business goals, determine options and recommendations to implement collaboration, document management and workflows. The Engineer should understand standard concepts, best practices, and procedures for legacy as well as modern SharePoint and Teams.

  • Consult with customers to understand the current and future needs to be able to scope, plan and deliver technical expertise for migrations to SharePoint Online and Teams.
  • Provide technical evaluation of content to determine modernization options.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions; translates business requirements to configuration specifications.
  • Ability to document SharePoint applications, business requirements and assessments in migrations and development planning efforts.
  • Cloud readiness assessments for apps, workflows, and solutions.
  • Assist team in performing migrations from On-Prem to SharePoint Online.
  • Maintain and support 365 application documentation for end user training.
  • Deploy SharePoint sites and applications.
  • Interfacing with clients and providing presentations.
  • Deployment of modern Intranet and Teams in SharePoint Online.
Technical skills: 
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a technical subject matter expert in Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 & Online.
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, +other 365 apps.
  • Technical experience implementing SharePoint and operating 365 applications and services.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security configurations and best practices in tenant configuration; 365 Security Configurations (ATP, Defender and Security Center).
  • Power apps and Flow
  • PowerShell
  • Familiarity or expertise in a variety of migration tools like Sharegate, Quest, BitTitan.
