Role Description:
The Pharmacy Technician will act as a liaison between the patient, provider and pharmacist. This role must be carried out delicately by someone who has incredible customer service skills and excellent phone etiquette. Exercising empathy with our patients is of utmost importance while speaking to them over the phone.
Core Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for fielding inbound calls for patient's refill requests. This includes the investigation of the status of the refill and, as indicated, fulfillment of medication renewal requests per a standing order.
The Pharmacy Technician will coordinate with care teams if they identify barriers preventing patients from receiving their refills.
Utilizes EMR to send requests and updates to the patient's care team as needed.
At the request of a patient, the pharmacy technician may occasionally make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of the patient.
Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for motivated, experienced candidates with:
Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience required
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
High school diploma required
Bilingual Spanish preferred (medical Spanish is a plus)
Previous experience managing a team preferred
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google documents/spreadsheets.
US work authorization
