Role Description:

The Associate, People Experience Generalist is an important contributor to the Oak Street HR Team. This position is responsible for executing a number of responsibilities to ensure the effectiveness of various human resources functions, including but not limited to, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, etc.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support with local payroll activities and People Experience activities, such as: recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, etc.

  • Partner and liaison between People Operations central team and local teams

  • Steward and coach for corrective action process

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory items, including: Federal, State, and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function such as FLSA, ADA, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and FMLA

  • Enhance the level of employee relations support by fostering a high level of employee trust, while providing appropriate coaching and advice to location leadership

  • Provide onboarding and orientation support

  • Manage employee recognition programs

  • Support the corporate Talent Acquisition Team, as needed:

    • Stay abreast of local hiring events, trends, etc.

    • Post job openings internally and externally

    • Screen candidates (review resumes and perform phone interviews)

    • Coordinate interview process with hiring managers

  • Other duties, as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • 2-5 years of HR experience with a specialization in employee relations in a multi-unit, geographically diverse healthcare setting

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred

  • 2-4 years HR/Recruitment and training experience (Healthcare industry is a plus)

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high growth environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong MS Excel skill

  • Willingness and ability to travel to centers in assigned region on a daily basis and occasionally travel to corporate or divisional locations

  • US work authorization
