Role Description:
At Oak Street Health, we are building the industry-leading clinical operations and population health platform to support the delivery of high quality care to the Medicare population. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of a pod innovating a core part of our platform. Through partnership with senior business and engineering leaders, you will oversee the planning and execution of all initiatives within your pod or suite of pods while serving as a key leader within our organization. The ideal candidate combines deep domain and industry expertise with experience delivering consumer-grade products to clinical users.
Core Responsibilities:
Product Vision / Strategy: You will be responsible for providing the vision and direction for one or more pods to the product and development team throughout each quarter. Additionally, you will ensure continuous alignment of business leaders with your strategy.
Team Management: You will be responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and mentoring Product team members within your pod.
Roadmap / Backlog Management: You will partner with your product team to define the roadmap for your pod in alignment with your vision and oversee day to day backlog management and prioritization.
Lead Scrum Teams: You will lead the efforts of your scrum team as the Product Manager. You will keep abreast of Agile / Scrum best practices and seek to implement them within your team.
Value Assessment: You will assess value and develop business cases to inform the nature and scope of present and future product line development.
Own Product Initiatives: You will drive the successful planning and execution of all product initiatives for the products you own. For each project, you are responsible for managing each step of the product management process directly or through your team to ensure a successful outcome.
Product / User Research: You will employ multiple mechanisms for conducting product research to inform requirements and design. Through both external investigation and internal collaboration, the information you gather will ensure the products you design exceed user expectations.
Product Requirements & Design: You will partner with cross-functional team members to collect and document detailed product requirements. Additionally, you will bring a creative eye to our team by working alongside our UX team to design high quality, intuitive products for our end users
Product Launch: You will define and project manage the launch of new products to our users. In partnership with our operations teams, you will help train end users and create applicable documentation for your products.
Continuous Product Improvement: You will identify and action opportunities for product improvement identified through quantitative measurement and feedback from end users.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for motivated individuals with
Experience
BS in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Business or a related field
6+ years in a product / product adjacent role at a rapidly growing company
3+ years healthcare experience
Preferred experience:
4+ years operating in a Product Manager role (or similar)
MA / MBA in any of the above fields

Strong Communicator: You can effectively articulate challenging concepts in both written and verbal modalities. From emails to formal presentations, you tailor your messaging to the appropriate audience to ensure complete understanding.
Effective Multitasker: You are able to efficiently context switch between multiple projects allowing you to take on several initiatives concurrently. You leverage your understanding of business needs to prioritize your daily work for impact with limited oversight.
User Centric: You put yourself in the shoes of users in order to design products that meet their needs while solving the business problem. Your ability to empathize with a diverse array of users and partners ensures that the solutions you design will deliver outsized value to the team.
Data Driven Mindset: You believe the best way to truly understand the impact of products is through data. Through partnership with analytics team members, you are able to design the necessary mechanisms for evaluating the success of each project.
