Title: Manager, Talent Acquisition

Location: Downtown Chicago (30 W. Monroe St.)

Role Description:

The Manager of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for the management and operations of recruiting functions; Corporate, IT, Contact Center and Scribe. The manager will oversee and execute our recruitment strategies, and build a thoughtful, data-driven, best-in-class recruiting organization. This entails supporting the team in achieving recruiting goals, establishing new and iterating on current processes to create efficiencies, and ensure we continue to hire top talent. The Talent Acquisition team hires thousands of new employees per year and anticipates more in the future. The role has high visibility both inside and outside of the organization and has  great opportunity for growth and development as Oak Street continues to grow.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage, train, develop and coach the Talent Acquisition team

  • Directly engage and partner with leaders across the enterprise to understand priorities in the functions of Corporate, IT, Contact Center and Scribe and develop strategies to attract, evaluate, and select the best talent to meet Oak Street Health's objectives

  • Oversee and recruit for our Leadership Development and Associate Development Programs. Which includes the following:

    • Strategically planning the candidate assessment and selection process to ensure a positive experience for both applicants and our executive hiring team; this includes identifying, administering, evaluating, and advising based on results

    • Outreach to critically acclaimed universities; building meaningful partnerships with their career services department, posting all LDP and ADP jobs on college sites, leading in-person educational tours 

    • Coordinating and hosting 60+ final-round candidates at our headquarters in November and owning the offer process (i.e. offer generation, negotiations and pre-employment screening process).

  • Maintain and evolve the database of candidate information and development of recruitment metrics to manage results and plan for future recruitment initiatives.

  • Develop and execute regional/local recruiting strategies through strong partnership with hiring managers adjusting approaches as necessary.

  • Audit ATS system regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance to Oak Street Health recruiting policies

  • As part of the People Experience (HR) team, they will also work in tandem with other members of the team on the formation, execution and delivery of various HR initiatives and projects

  • Effectively partner with our Recruitment Marketing Manager to understand efficiency and effectiveness challenges of the current recruiting funnel, offer and implement recruitment marketing solutions to improve candidate flow and quality.

  • Engage and manage external recruitment firms when necessary. 

  • Independently manage a requisition load ranging from 10-15 positions at any given time that ranges from mid-professional to VP positions

  • Enhance recruitment materials and sourcing methods.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to recruitment and hiring

  • Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics

  • Continuously improve the candidate experience, ensuring that candidates have a positive impression of Oak Street throughout the recruitment process

  • Other duties, as assigned 

This role reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for motivated professionals with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in full cycle recruiting (from mid-professional to VP-level roles and above) 

  • 3+ years of management experience leading, developing, and motivating teams

  • Proficiency with standard commercial office suite, especially Google Apps for Business and Microsoft Office

  • Sense of urgency

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical, consulting, relationship-building, and influencing skills

  • Ability to identify issues and root cause and formulate solutions

  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally across various levels within the organization

  • Ability to inspire others to achieve high standards and adapt to change in order to reach the desired result

  • B.S./B.A. degree required

  • US work authorization
