Role Description:

The Credentialing Associate will work closely with our physicians and licensed providers to obtain credentials and/or EMR access with hospitals in all OSH markets. The role will include submission of credentialing forms to government agencies and insurance payers on behalf of our physicians and licensed providers. You will provide formal, detailed documentation of their professional histories to these groups, and thoroughly track the process to ensure follow-through from start to finish. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining multiple databases with highly sensitive physician information while streamlining the paperwork process.

  • Assisting with physician onboarding to confirm receipt of required documents.

  • Processing hospital privilege requests for healthcare facilities other than OSH locations.

  • Monitoring the renewal of insurance policies and board certifications.

  • Ensuring physicians maintain necessary credentials, such as state licensure, DEA licenses and enrollment with CMS.

  • Providing regular updates on credentialing progress to other teams within Oak Street Health.

  • Other duties, as assigned.
