Role Description

This role will serve as lead for government programs in which Oak Street participates, such as the Medicare Shared Savings and Direct Contract Programs. This individual will work cross-functionally and serve as the key liaison with both Field and Corporate teams on all strategic and operational matters concerning these programs. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role to ensure Oak Street’s successful participation in these programs and enable more program beneficiaries to access care at Oak Street.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day strategic and operational leadership for Direct Contracting, Medicare Shared Savings, and future innovative payment models

  • Own policy review and offer subject matter expertise to Oak Street teams with regards to new value-based programs and payment models

  • Support Oak Street departments with implementing related initiatives

  • Inform and empower Oak Street teams and executives through regular communication and program updates

  • Plan and facilitate meetings with relevant stakeholders and governing bodies

  • Take ownership of programmatic milestones, deadlines, and reporting with government agencies

  • In partnership with Oak Street’s Government Relations team, support advocacy initiatives

  • Liaise with government counterparts and represent Oak Street at related meetings and events

  • Support vendor review, contracting, and management, as needed

  • Support financial analyses and planning, as needed

  • Explore new government programs and make recommendations to Oak Street leadership, where applicable

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a motivated leader with:

  • Experience managing existing government value-based programs such as the Medicare Shared Savings Program, Direct Contracting, etc.

  • Ability to build trust and effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective engagement with senior audiences 

  • Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and delivering results across a range of programs and initiatives

  • Ability to seamlessly manage both detailed program requirements and big picture strategy

  • Microsoft Office / Google Suite experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • US work authorization
