Role Description

The Executive Director, Outreach is foundational to Oak Street Health’s success on new patient acquisition. This role is responsible for leading Oak Street Health’s overall Outreach function to success, including new center performance. This role will manage the Outreach Program, Growth Expansion and Outreach Market Turnaround teams. This role will also work closely with the Growth Effectiveness and Growth Training teams to coordinate initiatives. At Oak Street, Outreach drives both our clinical and economic model and is focused on acquiring new patients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.

Core Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for the success of the Outreach program, including expansion centers

  • Support and drive organization-wide Regional Director of Growth performance through dotted line reporting structure

  • Directly manage highly motivated team of 2+ Outreach Program leads and Growth Expansion and Outreach Market Turnaround teams

  • Partner closely with Compliance to ensure 100% compliance with all CMS and other rules / regulations

  • Held accountable, jointly with regional leadership, for performance of the Outreach cohort, including input / output metrics and engagement scores

  • Act as a trusted partner and resource for Outreach support for divisional leadership 

  • Act as the functional expert for the Outreach cohort coordinating across regional and centralized leaders to align on role priorities and outcomes

  • Act as the voice of Outreach in central strategic discussions

  • Support and lead centralized Outreach Program-related initiatives

  • Execute the hiring, onboarding and training strategy for all of Outreach

  • Proactively monitor Outreach metrics across the organization to support Outreach Program leaders in prioritizing and successfully executing against organizational goals

  • Serve as point person for Outreach role strategy & administrative details, including job description, pay bands, incentive plans, etc.

  • Provide regular Outreach cohort communication, centrally supported engagement and recognition

  • Lead strategy for continued development and enhancement of Oak Street Health’s Outreach Executive, Community Relations and Lead Generation cohorts

  • Partner closely with the Growth Effectiveness and Growth Training teams to ensure successful performance

  • Other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of applicable experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required 

  • Motivated individual with experience and proven track record leading other people managers

  • Experience as Regional Director of Growth or Growth leader at Oak Street Health with a proven track record of cohort mentorship and consistent role performance

  • Strong communicator who stays well connected to Growth leaders to remain informed of changes, updates and objectives 

  • Engaging and inspiring leader who can successfully motivate and manage leaders objectives

  • Natural collaborator who is excited to craft workflows alongside program and position leaders 

  • Process orientation and skilled in developing and maintaining workflows 

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with ability to consider and manage implications of change, and align leaders to achieve outcomes 

  • Promotes diversity and inclusion within their work and cohort 

  • Highly organized individual who can keep multiple complex projects moving forward

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • US work authorization
