Title: Director, Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Remote within Chicago area, with regular travel as needed

 

Role Description: 

Serving as a key member of the Human Resources Leadership team, this position will serve as a strategic HR thought partner to the Health Care Delivery Technology, Population Health and Care Delivery senior leadership teams and will be responsible for developing and executing talent strategies that drive performance excellence in support of the organization's business objectives and goals.  As a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives, this position will provide guidance and strategic HR consultation on a wide range of people-related issues while fostering an extraordinary employee experience and inclusive work environment. 

Reporting to the Vice President of HR Strategy and Business Partnership, this position will work closely with multiple senior leaders and partner with HR Centers of Expertise to assess, anticipate, facilitate and inspire organizational and people related strategies. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic business advisory consulting to senior and executive business leaders to align talent management practices, workforce effectiveness, and organizational effectiveness strategies in support of the business strategy and growth. 

  • Manage a skilled and highly motivated team of HR Business Partners to consistently achieve business goals.

  • Coaches across senior leadership to enhance leadership abilities, relationships amongst teams, interpersonal communications, and performance management.

  • Supports and helps lead the organization through a time of transformation and change during times of ambiguity, complexity and uncertainty. 

  • Leverage HR data and analytics to drive insights and support decision-making processes related to talent, engagement, organizational effectiveness, culture-building efforts, and strategic workforce planning. 

  • Facilitates future-focused discussions on talent and culture of the organization, providing insights on enterprise talent strategy, including assessment of talent gaps that focuses on succession planning, talent mobility and diversity.

  • Leads and delivers Talent initiatives and projects for core client groups as well as horizontal projects across the broader Oak Street business.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business, or related field required; Master's Degree preferred; experience in healthcare preferred.

  • A minimum requirement of 8 years of Human Resources experience in a rapid growth, high execution organization. 

  • Ability to navigate and influence within a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Experience supporting leaders, teams and employees across a distributed network and multiple segments. 

  • Ability to support, develop, mentor, and motivate team members.

  • Experience in coaching and influencing senior executives.

  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to build strong and trusting relationships across multiple teams and departments.

  • Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical and innovative thinking skills.

  • Proven ability to create a positive culture, with high morale and strong performance.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and supporting organizational change management initiatives. 

  • An operational mindset for flawless execution.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.

  • Ability to analyze HR data and develop data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
