Position Summary:
The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is looking for a Microsoft .Net Developer to join the IT team. This role will be focused on making enhancements to the city’s online platform for affordable housing applications, which is heavily used by NYC residents. The Developer should have experience writing efficient, high-performance code for public facing applications and enjoy working on high profile projects that involve many groups of stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to enhance and develop components to existing high profile web applications.
- Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and high-performance codebases using .NET and Angular technologies.
- Assist with Microsoft SQL server database modeling, creation, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and vendor code reviews.
- Participate in technical solutions discussions and brain-storming sessions.
- Ability to understand requirements, offer alternatives, and share best practices amongst the team.
- Work closely with Team members on all designated project work efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3-5 years of professional experience in software development; or a or a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the aforementioned qualification.
- Strong experience with full stack .NET Angular development.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies, specifically: .NET Angular, WEB API, SQL Server, IIS.
- Hands-on experience in front-end technologies and familiar with HTML, CSS, jQuery, Angular, TypeScript.
- Experience with TFS version control.
- Familiar with Unit testing & QA cycles.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively all project stakeholders and participants.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
