Assistant Educator, CGP Crafters
Position Summary
Specifics Duties and Responsibilities • Assist supervisors and educators in preparing for, facilitating, and cleaning up the Children’s Gardening Program. • Promote positive interactions amongst program participants. • Aid in logistics and safety requirements during program sessions. • Assist with general horticultural tasks in the garden plots with the participants, and maintain an organized work area, including care of garden tools and enrichment activity supplies. • Assist supervisors and educators with check in and check out procedures. • Mentor Super Crafters during reflection meetings. Qualifications Applicant should have an interest in gardening and teaching, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities. Applicants must be professional, mature, and enthusiastic attitude is essential. Physical demands and work environment: Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, to be outdoors, and to sit and/or stand for long periods. Set up and clean up materials. Involves lots of walking to and from check in and check out and in between programs. Baseline schedule:
