Basic Job Functions
Facilitate Gardening Workshops programs with school groups at the Edible Academy.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Introduce school groups to plants, nature, and gardening through garden-based education activities at the Edible Academy.
- Prepare program supplies and garden site for planned gardening and enrichment activities.
- Assist with ongoing horticultural projects and task throughout the Edible Academy campus.
- Assist with development of school group programming at the Edible Academy.
Qualifications
- Applicant should have knowledge of gardening, experience in teaching, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Applicant must be able to work with groups of children in an outdoor setting.
- An outgoing personality and enthusiastic attitude are essential.
- Must have the ability to lift and move heavy program materials.
- Two years related experience is required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
Work Schedule
- Temporary part time role expected to last till November
- Tuesday-Friday, 9 AM- 1 PM
Rate
- $22 per hour
