Home Care Administrator

Summary:
The Home Care Administrator plans, directs, and evaluates the implementation of all administrative, professional, and quality operations for the Connecticut network home care services. Plans, staffs, directs, and implements the programs and manages the affairs of the home health agency and the companion/homemaker services is also responsible for oversight of the New Milford Drop Site to ensure that all regulations related to having a drop site are followed by agency personnel.
Responsibilities:
1. Under the direction of the VP of Home Care Operations participates in agency's overall program planning, budgeting, management and evaluation based upon community needs and agency resources, and assurance of an accurate public information system.
2. Responsible for the maintenance of ongoing liaison among the governing authority, its committees, the Professional Advisory Committee, and staff; to include interpretation and execution of the policies of the governing authority.
3. Demonstrates oversight and responsibility for the employment of qualified personnel to include oversight of both the professional and paraprofessional aide and companion/homemaker staff; evaluation of staff performance; provision of planned orientation and in-service education programs for agency personnel; and distribution of a written plan for the delegation of administrative responsibilities and functions in the absence of the administrator.
4. In conjunction with the VP of Home Care Operations and Finance Director, prepares budget for the approval of the governing authority and implementation of financial policies, accounting system and cost controls.
5. Maintains the agency�s compliance and licensure regulations and standards. Manages Medicare and other payer documentation requests and denial process.
6. In conjunction with the Vice President, Home Care Operations, develops a record system for program documentation, planning and evaluations, including annual Quality Assurance Program Improvement (QAPI) activities.
7. Responsible for maintaining the quality of patient care for all clinical services in accordance with policies and standards of clinical practice. Is responsible for oversight of the agency quality assurance performance improvement program (QAPI) and oversight of the agency quality team.
8. Responsible for the oversight of the agency drop site in New Milford, CT.
9. Responsible for the maintenance of 24-hour/7-day a week coverage of home care services.

11. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
12. Performs other duties as required.
Education: BACHELOR'S LVL DGRE

Bachelor�s degree in nursing
Required Skills: Strong clinical, organizational, communication and performance outcome skills.
