Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.  Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

Summary:Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN Preferred.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg experience and/or 1 year of peds experience

License: Have a current license issued by New York State to practice as a registered nurse. BLS and PALS certifications required.
