Employee Health RN - This position is split between Sharon Hospital 2 days a week and Putnam Hospital 3 days a week.
Full time 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Summary:
Provides clinical leadership and expertise in primary care. This position is accountable for assuring quality medical care for employees within the workplace and pre-employed individuals looking to join the organization. Coordinates pre-hire contingencies, employee wellness initiatives and injury.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides clinical leadership and expertise in primary care.
2. Assesses, monitors, and implements supportive nursing care, health counseling and education to patients related to workplace injuries and employee illnesses occurring in the workplace.
3. Communicates with all levels of management and Human Resources, as well as third party vendors.
4. Conducts initial assessment of Workers' Compensation injuries and administers first aid when determines need for advanced medical referral.
5. Conducts pre-employment screenings: scheduling, exam preparation, specimen collection, result follow-up, medical record notes and inter department communications.
6. Conducts initial assessment of Workers' Compensation injuries and administers first aid when determines need for advanced medical referral.
7. Administers immunizations and PPDs as required.
8. Takes and record vital signs. Requests laboratory results.
9. Assists medical providers with procedures as requested.
10. Performs return-to-work exams.
11. Collaborates with department managers and/or Human Resources to related to documented employee restrictions and requests for accommodations.
12. Maintains, stocks and orders medical supply inventory.
13. Communicates across all levels of the organization, as well as Network sanctioned third party vendors.
14. Demonstrates compassion while remaining objective.
15. Maintains high degree of confidentiality and full compliance under HIPAA, Network policies and regulatory agency requirements.

Required: Three years hands-on nursing experience. Excellent customer service skills, good phone skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrates compassion while remaining objective.
Minimum Experience: three years
Desired: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, prior Employee Health experience preferred.
