Rheumatology Fellowship APP Program

The Rheumatology Fellowship Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Program is a twelve month post graduate training program developed to prepare Advanced Practice Providers for a career in rheumatology. The program incorporates supervised clinical training (16-20 hours weekly) supported by didactic educational modules. Upon completion of this program attendees will have the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions. Candidates may also be eligible for employment in a Rheumatology Practice within the Nuvance Network. 

 

Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance. 

2. Completes assigned didactic materials as assigned. 

3. Participates in comprehensive patient assessment (with mentoring MD or APP). 

4. Formulates differential diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans based on patient assessments, laboratory testing and imaging. 

5. Assists in office procedures such as joint aspirations and injections. 

6. Participates in inpatient consults. 

7. Participates in Rheumatology meetings, quality initiatives, and clinical projects. 

8. Maintains clear, concise and accurate documentation. 

9. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. 

10. Performs other duties as required.
