Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices.  Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.


JOB SUMMARY:

Performs ultrasound examinations of diagnostic quality of all types including obstetrical, abdominal, gynecological, cardiac and vascular. Maintains patient records and performs documentation as appropriate. This individual interacts with patients of all ages.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent; Graduate of an A.M.A. approved course of study in Medical Sonography.

Licensure/Registration/Certification: Registered with RDMS .

Work Experience: Past experience as a medical sonographer preferred, but new graduates may be acceptable.

Physical & Other Factors: Must be able to assist in lifting and positioning patients. Standing required 70% of time.
