Title: Manager Float Team and Provider Onboarding - Medical Group Admin - Full time - Danbury , CT - Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 PM
Summary:
The Float Team Onboarding Manager partners with the Medical Staff Office, Payor Enrollment, Practice Managers, and onboarding navigators to coordinate and oversee provider onboarding. This includes guiding new clinicians through the initial onboarding period, ensuring timely completion of credentialing and enrollment processes, and supporting a smooth transition into the practice.
In addition, the Manager of the NHMG Float Team is responsible for overseeing all operational, staffing, and support functions of the Float Team across the Medical Group. This role ensures that clinical and non-clinical float staff are deployed effectively to meet urgent and ongoing coverage needs within practices and clinical departments. The Manager will collaborate closely with Practice Managers to understand staffing gaps, prioritize assignments, and maintain seamless support across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the provider onboarding process, especially the initial 90-day period to maximize clinical productivity and satisfaction.
- Orients new clinicians to the revenue cycle process to optimize charge and RVU capture.
- Familiarizes new clinicians to the referral and ordering process to maximize the use of system resources and facilitate patient satisfaction.
- Finds solutions to optimize the onboarding process and collaborate with the team to implement.
- Manages Float Team scheduling & daily operations to coordinate placements across all Primary and Specialty practices.
- Oversees payroll & timekeeping for temporary staff to ensure accuracy and proper cost allocation.
- Manages employee relations, including coaching, corrective actions, performance plans and reviews.
- Ensures staff certifications, licenses, and required training are all active and current.
- Recruitment, onboarding, & training of clinical and non-clinical staff to support Float Team needs.
- Managing, assigning, and conducting onboarding meetings.
- Educates onboarding team and other departments while working to optimize their ability to make the process seamless to the provider.
- Collaborates with team members and create a process to identify and eliminate roadblocks so providers meet their start dates.
- Improves provider retention and foster positive provider relationships that create a satisfied provider base.

Education Skills Experience:
- High school diploma required Associates or Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in onboarding, communications, customer service and support, sales, account management, or customer success.
- High emotional intelligence and empathy skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow provider narratives to understand their point of view and find workable solutions to their issues.
- Strong analytical and goal-oriented mindset backed by basic-to-advanced project management skills.
- Ability to de-escalate provider support requests and maintain a positive, goal-driven provider relationship.
- Software skills and capabilities with the ability to learn new software tools on the job.
- Experience integrating and migrating legacy systems to new software solutions in a way that best serves client and business goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $33.21 - $61.68 Hourly
