Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a full-time Night Physician Assistant Hospitalist for Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT for variable night shifts, 8 PM – 8 AM. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in a community hospital in a family friendly location about 80 miles from NYC. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside the Physicians in Hospitalist Medicine. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area resident's convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital is part of Western Connecticut Health Network, which also includes New Milford and Norwalk Hospitals as well as over 70 outpatient practice locations.  Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a physician, provides primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses. 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school.
  • CT State PA license, DEA/State of CT controlled substance.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • ACLS & BLS certification. 
  • Must maintain 50 CME's over two years.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Preferred: prior PA Hospitalist experience but new grads with inpatient Internal Medicine experience are encouraged to apply
  • Able to work variable block night schedule, 8 PM – 8 AM (12-hour shifts) about 14 shifts per month (including 2 weekends/mo.).

Salary Range: $105 - $150k annually commensurate or relative to experience.
