Summary Performs the various nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and/or therapy procedures, preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, quality control procedures and other ancillary job duties with the goal of providing the highest quality of appropriate imaging services possible in the most efficient and cost effective manner to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served by the Department of Imaging Services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Require B.S. degree in science or related field, or will consider equivalent combination of two-year Associates Degree in specialized or technical field, and one-year nuclear medicine technology certification program.

Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine technology or related field.

License: AART(N) and/or CNMT or eligible

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FACTORS

Physical: Requires light physical effort on a regular basis, as in frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping or reaching and/or occasional lifting of light items (i.e. up to 20 lbs.). Periodic eye or ear strain (less than 50% of the time).

Mental: Occasional compensated overtime may impose home and social life inconvenience, even though predictable on most occasions and regular volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
