Title: Echocardiographer 1 - Norwalk Hospital Non-Invasive Cardiology, Norwalk, CT. Full time/40 hours per week, variable 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm and 8:00am - 4:30pm, some evening and weekend call required.

Summary: Performs all aspects of Echocardiography imaging, including Transthoracic Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Stress/Echo Testing and Pediatric Echocardiography.  Performs Non-Invasive Cardiology Diagnostic testing which includes but is not limited to Stress Testing Holter Monitoring and ECG Testing and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Transthoracic Echocardiography testing, Transesophageal Echocardiography testing.
  2. Stress Echocardiography testing 
  3. Pediatric Echocardiography
  4. Ambulatory monitoring, ECG's
  5. Troubleshooting, maintaining equipment and supplies.
  6. Insuring quality results and testing accuracy
  7. Attends continuing medical education and is actively involvied in QA/CQI activities.
  8. Answering phones, scheduling patients
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

Required: Graduate of a Cardiac Ultra sound program and sufficient skill and experience to sit for the Registry Boards. BLS required.
Minimum Experience: zero to six months
Desired: ECG Interpretation

Salary Range: $32.23 - $59.86 hourly (Pay per years of experience)
