Purpose: Provide professional customer service by obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information for check in processes. Employee must possess a working knowledge and understanding of insurance requirements and provide courteous and prompt telephone reception as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Follows opening and closing procedures. Adheres to policies for daily deposits and banking reconciliations.
2. Greets all patients and visitors to DRA in a polite, prompt and helpful manner.
3. Check in patients obtaining necessary demographic and insurance information necessary to accurately bill. Follows designed workflows of Cerner and DRA tools for front desk reception.
4. Reviews all forms for accuracy, completion and signature according to policy prior to scanning.
5. Collects all co-payments as required by policy.
6. Answers the telephone, handles, and routes or assists callers following DRA phone procedures.
7. Ability to communicate to referring physician offices interpretations of exams as needed.
8. May schedule appointments verifying patient’s insurance eligibility, coverage, authorizations for scheduling exams utilizing HQ scheduling protocol and follows designed workflows of Cerner and DRA tools.
9. Confirm patient’s daily appointments, informs patients of co-payment.

11. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
12. Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two (2+) or more years of medical office experience preferred
· Prior experience with physician scheduling and familiar with insurance company guidelines.
· One year of college or specialized post-high school training in medical terminology and medical office procedures preferred

· Ability to exhibit a professional and positive attitude towards patient.
· Ability to act in respectful manner at all times especially during an environment of stressful, interruptive or busy periods.
· Must possess strong attention to detail and time management skills to participate in multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
