Primary Care Physician Opening in Ridgefield, Connecticut (45 miles from New York City)

Nuvance Health, is seeking Primary Care Physician for our Ridgefield Primary Care and Pediatrics Practice in Ridgefield, CT. We are seeking a full-time BC or BE IM/Peds (double boarded) or Family Medicine Physician to work in a well-established primary care practice that currently has 7 experienced providers - two med/peds physicians, one FP, one internist, two PA’s and one ARNP. Office also has two behavioral health practitioners/therapists.

The practice is in a new state of the art 12,000 sq. foot facility with fully implemented EMR located 45 miles north of NYC within a picturesque New England town. It has a very strong sense of community, abundance of outdoor activities, proximity to theater, sports & cultural centers, and nationally renowned public and private schools which make this a tremendous location in which to practice medicine.

This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Market-based, competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k match, and contribution are included. Hiring bonus and relocation stipend may also be available.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. This as a full-time, office-based position providing outpatient services only, utilizing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

NHMP is committed to ensuring joy in medical practice and has implemented a number of programs to combat “burnout” and ensure a culture of support for all of our employees:

· Virtual scribes – to reduce charting time and enable clinicians to work top of license with more face-to-face time with their patients

· Daily Management System (practice huddles) to ensure collaboration and problem solving occurs at the practice level – the clinicians and support staff know how best to solve for complex challenges

· On Call Nurse Triage- the on -call messages are first triaged by a nurse based on vetted protocol to decrease the on-call workload. The on-call duties are light with an average of 2-3 weekdays/month and one weekend every other month.

Job Requirements:

  • MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration
  • Have successfully completed a Family Medicine Residency or an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency
  • Experienced Primary Care Physicians or new grads are welcome
  • Must be Board Certified or be Board Eligible
  • Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage
  • Full time weekday 8-hour schedules between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday – Friday
  • Off-hour coverage – Shared among multiple providers, phone-calls only with nurse triage.

      Salary range: $275,000 - $285,000 annually commensurate or relative to experience
