Maintenance Mechanic
Description
Summary Inspects, maintains, repairs or replaces hospital equipment systems and property, as necessary to maintain a safe, secure, comfortable aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, Medical Staff and employees. Must be familiar with fire and disaster plans. Performs security duties and other duties assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three years in building maintenance with emphasis in one of the primary trades.
License: N/A
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FACTORS
Physical: Requires light physical effort on a regular basis, as in frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping or reaching and/or occasional lifting of light items (i.e. up to 20 lbs.).
Mental: Some irregularity in scheduled hours because of compensated overtime requirements, including weekend rotation.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional exposure to minor injury or other occupational hazards requiring precaution.
$22.50 per hour
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
