Northern Dutchess Hospital is an 84-bed hospital located in picturesque Rhinebeck, New York. Job Qualifications:
- Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent; general knowledge of high school subject matter possibly including sciences, simple medical procedures or terminology or office equipment.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months of direct customer service or hotel/hospitality experience.
- License: N/A.
Working Conditions
- Physical: Requires standing for full shift while on duty (no sitting or leaning except on break), walking distances to escort visitors, pushing guests in wheelchairs, and other constant physical movements on a routine basis. Also, frequent lifting/pushing/pulling of heavy items long distances and up inclined floors (ie wheelchairs with guests, including bariatric wheelchairs with bariatric guests).
- Mental: Some irregularity in scheduled hours because of compensated overtime requirements, including weekend rotation, or occasional stress due to periodic or cyclical workload pressures.
- Environmental: Some minor physical inconvenience or discomfort routinely present in the work situation (moderately noisy, disagreeable odors, etc.) or occasional exposure to minor injury or other occupational hazards requiring precaution.
- Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
- Occupational: Some occupational risk
- Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
- Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
