The Opportunity

About the Team
The Engineering Enablement team at Nutanix is an established team focused on enhancing content development initiatives. Based in San Jose, California, the team's mission revolves around creating high-quality training materials that empower employees and improve the overall learning experience. The culture within the team emphasizes collaboration, engagement, and shared success, with team members frequently interacting and supporting one another as they work together to achieve their goals.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Enablement, who adopts a leadership style that encourages independence while providing support through regular one-on-one meetings. The manager values a collaborative environment, allowing team members the freedom to work autonomously while being accessible for guidance when needed. The role requires a hybrid work setup, with the expectation that the hire will be in the office three days a week to facilitate in-person collaboration with subject matter experts and other team members.
This role does not require travel, as the team primarily operates from the San Jose office. The hiring manager has emphasized the importance of being present in the office to foster collaboration and engagement, particularly when working with subject matter experts to enhance the quality of training content.
Your Role
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and enhance eLearning content.
- Create, package, and manage training courses, assessments, and quizzes using various content development tools.
- Update and ensure the relevance and accuracy of existing training materials, addressing a backlog of 300 courses.
- Utilize task management tools like Asana to track project progress and workflows.
- Conduct reviews with stakeholders to validate content and ensure alignment with training needs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Set performance metrics for content quality and adhere to established standards and workflows.
- Work independently while engaging in ongoing communication with team leadership and members.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience in eLearning content development and instructional design.
- Proficiency with content development tools such as Articulate, RISE, and Synthesia.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with subject matter experts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with learning and development principles and technical content creation.
- Experience in updating and managing existing training content for relevance.
- Self-motivated with a passion for delivering high-quality work.
- Understanding of software applications and tools relevant to content development.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 68,080 and USD $ 135,720 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
