Senior Product Engineer - Security

We are looking for Senior Product Engineer - Security to be a part of our fast growing Product Security team. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: 

  • System Design - Distributed Software Systems design. You enjoy working with engineering teams in a collaborative role. You enjoy explaining and tailoring security best practices on topics ranging from AuthN/AuthZ of gRPC and rest services, to Identity Provider trust relationships, to digital signing, to cloud security controls, and to all the other elements that affect security of a complex, modern cloud product, whether on prem or deployed to the public cloud or in a hybrid configuration. Detailed knowledge of opensource components and libraries is a big plus.
  • Expertise in two or more technology domains including - Container Security, Linux Internals, Web Security, Network Security, Cloud Security, Data Center Networking, Trusted Computing
  • Experience in public cloud, private cloud or on-prem products 
  • Expertise collaborating with product teams on threat modeling and design reviews. You can sit down with a team, open your threat modeling tool of choice (or use a whiteboard) to capture system components, boundaries, protocols. Working with the product team, you identify threats and suggest short and long-term mitigating controls. You believe that threat modeling is an activity to which everyone can contribute, and that it’s an iterative, ongoing discipline.
  • Experience in designing and building Security controls 
  • Able to explain secure coding practices and conduct security-focused code reviews with experience in one more programming language
  • Working across cross functional teams, ability to reverse engineer products 
  • Creation of concise security requirements, directly relevant to the product
  • SDL experience working and influencing teams
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and vulnerabilities and sharing this knowledge in the context of architecture and product design reviews

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Masters degree, 7+ years of experience in security architecture and design, focused on cloud, systems and application security
  • Experience working with hyper-converged infrastructure solutions and hypervisors / virtual machines
  • Experience working in cloud environments like AWS, GCP and Azure
  • Self-driven, with a sense of responsibility and an internal drive to complete projects
  • Experience working with engineering groups, creating secure and scalable architectures, controls and policies, preferably in cloud environment
  • Experience in software delivery mechanism, hands-on technical role preferred, with the belief that architecture and sound design benefit from practical experience.
