The Opportunity
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (Automation Engineer) with extensive experience in automation development, strategy, and testing skills to be part of our dynamic team.

The team is geographically spread out but closely connected, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. You will report to the Technical Manager, who provides guidance and support to help you succeed in your role. The work setup at Nutanix is hybrid, offering flexibility with 2–3 days in the office to collaborate with your team. This balance allows for a mix of face-to-face interactions and remote work, optimizing productivity and work-life balance.
There are no significant travel requirements for this position, allowing you to focus on your responsibilities and projects without the added stress of frequent travel. This setup provides stability and predictability in your work schedule, enabling you to excel in your role at Nutanix.
Your Role
Have 4-7 years of experience as SDET in both functional and system tests
Develop libraries and corresponding automation to produce high quality, reusable, and extensible test cases through both UI and API-motivated approach.
Expertise in python language along with hands-on knowledge of python testing frameworks like pytest
Have an aptitude of understanding product as a whole and design system tests based on new features/functionalities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other Developers, Testers, Product Management, and Support to meet customer requirements while driving engineering innovation.
Take ownership of the product features and work on one's own with minimal supervision to design & deliver module-level functionality.
What You Will Bring

- Be actively participating in Coding & Code reviews
- Have expertise in scripting language i.e. Python
- Have expertise with automation and building tools such as Selenium, JMeter, fit and Jenkins
- Strong systems background (Linux systems with exposure to Process, Memory and IO Management tools
- Strong Coding skills (DS, Algos).
- You will enable our engineers to generate known-quality releases with every commit, discover defects early and iterate fast.
- Excellent programming and scripting capabilities to develop code for automated tests.
- Good coding skills in Python Lang and experience of developing automation frameworks and testing tools.
- Candidates should have a perfect problem-solving approach with good hands-on knowledge of Algorithms & Data Structures.
- Min 5–7 years of relevant experience in building/designing automation framework & testing tools.
