The Role: DR Team - Software Engineer

The new college graduate position is a full-time opportunity to gain exposure to one or more Nutanix engineering roles according to your skills and interests. Our team is working on exciting new challenges in building a suite of Business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) solutions and building a platform to cater to our business partners. We are also bolstering our cloud-based data protection service to serve our ever-growing customer needs.

New college graduates are paired with a Senior Member of Technical Staff who serves as a guide through our engineering culture, toolsets, and development methodology. The position is based in Durham, NC.


  • Architect, design, and development software for the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform
  • Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems and design innovative solutions for customer requirements
  • Work alongside development, test, documentation, and product teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment


  • Love of programming and skilled in one of the following languages: C/C++.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience with Linux.
  • Have taken courses or completed research in the areas of distributed systems/computing or parallel programming, operating systems, files systems, compilers, algorithms and data structures, or cloud computing
  • Knowledge of or experience with large-scale distributed systems preferred
  • Detailed oriented with a strong focus on code and product quality
  • The passion & ability to learn new things while never being satisfied with the status quo

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possessing a bachelor's o preferably a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is required.
