The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect who would be excited to join us from the North American (US East and US Central) region and work with us to build modern Hybrid Cloud solutions and shape the future of our product. In the Nutanix Solution Team, we will be working with the most demanding customers, creating Nutanix documentation artifacts (reference architectures, best practices guides, Nutanix validated designs) and working with PM/Engineering on the product roadmap. 

About the Team

Nutanix Solutions team oversees the creation of Nutanix validated designs, reference architectures, technical notes, best practices guides, and reference architectures across multiple verticals like Hybrid Cloud, Networking, EUC, Database, SAP, and Security. The team attracted several Senior Technical Experts, including many with VCDX and NPX certifications from various areas. 

You will report to the Director of Solutions Engineering, who is dedicated to mentoring the team and cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth. The work setup is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and a healthy work-life balance, with no required in-office days. Travel requirements are as needed, allowing for on-site customer engagements, conferences, or team meetings that enhance your learning experience and foster connections across the organization.

Your Role

• Take technical leadership in architecting, designing, documenting, and validating Hybrid Cloud solutions based on Nutanix Cloud Platform.
• Create and maintain the Nutanix Solutions team's artifacts.
• Work closely with Engineering & Product Management to represent the voice of our customers and curate requirements spanning large customers to find common themes and ensure that these are well understood by both the Engineering and Product Management teams, and executed holistically.  
• Focus on customer opportunities to expand our platform and products in the top 2% of our customer base.    
• Provide broad Enterprise Architecture expertise to help customers understand how multiple Nutanix & third-party products can be integrated to create desired outcomes to accelerate adoption and expansion in high-growth accounts. 

What You Will Bring

• 10+ years of proven experience in architecting, deploying, or managing large-scale solutions.
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies and software-defined data center architectures.
• Thought leadership in your respective area of expertise.
• Expertise in designing or managing legacy storage systems.
• Experience in designing and managing private, public, and hybrid multi-cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware)
• Ability to execute on a broad strategic vision and, when needed, dive deep into detail to drive meaningful outcomes.
• Good understanding of external storage platforms like Dell, NetApp, Pure, and others.

Even better if you bring:

• Experience in a solution engineering, architect, or tech lead role.
• Experience in building a scalable cloud solution on one of the leading public clouds: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI.
• Hands-on experience in IaC frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
• Coding in Python
• Previous experience working with Product Management and Software Engineering groups.
• Understanding of containers and cloud native constructs
• Self-motivated and can work without a lot of structure to develop meaningful strategies and drive execution to achieve established goals.
• Good understanding of two or more of the following disciplines:
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery
  • Software Defined Networking
  • Physical, virtual, and cloud networking
  • Automation
  • Security
  • K8s
  • Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, VCDX, NPX) 

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 156,000 and USD $ 310,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
