About the Team
You will be joining the Services Delivery team at Nutanix, a collaborative and dynamic group based in Pune/Bangalore that focuses on delivering innovative Day-Two IT Virtualization services. The team prides itself on a culture that emphasizes exceeding customer expectations while fostering strong relationships. The mission of the Services Delivery team is to provide exceptional value to clients, ultimately aiming to shorten their return on investment through dedicated support and expertise in cutting-edge technology.
You will report to the Sr. Director of Professional Services, who embodies a leadership style that prioritizes mentorship and fosters a collaborative environment. This position will require you to work in a hybrid mode, where you will be expected to be in the Nutanix office for a minimum of three days per week, allowing you to engage directly with Nutanix team members and clients to ensure the effective delivery of services.
This role will involve some travel, offering exciting opportunities to attend internal team events or training sessions overseas. This travel not only enhances your professional development but also promotes cross-cultural collaboration within the organization, giving you a global perspective on the industry.
Your Role
  • Deliver Day-Two IT Virtualization services and support to clients onsite.
  • Plan and execute deployment, installation, and configuration of Nutanix core products.
  • Manage software/firmware upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and VM lifecycle activities.
  • Collaborate on DevOps and cloud implementation projects with team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Document processes and improvements for system scalability and reliability.
  • Build and maintain robust customer relationships through proactive communication and support.
  • Establish foundational knowledge of Nutanix and VMware technologies within the first year.
What You Will Bring
  • 0-2 years of experience in public cloud or virtualization technologies
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
  • Basic understanding of cloud architecture and data center technologies (servers, networks, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery)
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Industry certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or VMware/Nutanix are preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric focus
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset in troubleshooting complex IT issues
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and establish customer relationships
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
