About the Team
The Senior Staff Enterprise Architect will join the Nutanix Professional Services Enterprise Architecture team, a collective of highly skilled architects located in the APJ region. This team is characterized by a collaborative and innovative culture, fostering a spirit of continuous learning and professional growth. Their mission is to lead the design and development of modern Hybrid Cloud solutions that empower their customers, guiding them through the complexities of enterprise cloud transformations, whether embarking on new initiatives or migrating existing infrastructure.
You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who is known for their hands-on leadership style and commitment to team empowerment and mentorship. This role offers a hybrid work setup, where the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week, allowing for a blend of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.
The position entails about 25% travel, primarily focusing on customer engagements across India, with potential secondary coverage across the APAC region and other global locations as required. This travel is essential for facilitating in-depth discussions and providing tailored solutions to meet specific customer needs.
Your Role
  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of Hybrid Cloud solutions on the Nutanix Cloud Platform.
  • Engage in technical pre-sales discussions and collaborate with account teams to develop high-level solutions.
  • Mentor and guide team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities within the Professional Services team.
  • Drive Practice Development initiatives to ensure high-quality documentation and delivery processes.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with C-Level executives through effective communication.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable feedback for Product Management and Engineering.
  • Achieve Nutanix Certified Expert (NCX) and Nutanix Platform Architect (NPX) certifications within the first two years.
  • Coordinate customer engagements, including approximately 25% travel for in-depth discussions and solution delivery.
What You Will Bring
  • 12+ years of experience in architecting and deploying large-scale solutions in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proficient in virtualization, containerization, and software-defined data center architectures.
  • Experience with managing Private, Public, and Hybrid Multi-cloud environments (e.g. Nutanix, AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage C-Level executives as a trusted advisor.
  • Technical pre-sales experience and capability to contribute to Practice Development initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of backup/disaster recovery, automation, security, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., NPX, NCX, VCDX, TOGAF) is advantageous.
  • Possess good customer handling skills and the ability to mentor and guide rising talent.
Work Arrangement
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
