Role: Global VP of Growth & Demand Generation

The Global Leader of Growth and Demand is responsible for leading a cross-functional global team of marketers in developing, optimizing, and executing. Nutanix’s global demand vision and strategy. This role will work across the organization to accelerate our digital transformation and the creation of world-class software subscription buying, selling, and marketing experiences.

This senior leadership position requires the ability to analyze and effectively communicate data, develop and communicate strategies to achieve desired outcomes and present results and insights at the highest executive levels. Experience leading teams through digital transformation, depth in industry best practices and standards, and experience driving demand in a SaaS environment is a must.

An effective leader will drive clarity and actions enabling Nutanix to build and activate frictionless, repeatable digital experiences fueled by data-driven insights and automated processes. Partnerships with the Product/Solutions, Field Marketing, and Brand teams are essential to effectively capture qualified leads and effectively nurture them along the buyer's journey. This strategy will enable Nutanix to engage and convert new contacts/personas efficiently and marketing-sourced pipeline and bookings that deliver subscription growth.

As the global growth and demand team leader, the organization will establish and deliver continuous, data-driven optimizations of Nutanix go-to-market programs working in partnership with Field Marketing, Product/Solutions Marketing, Brand, and Sales.

This role will work cross-functionally and across all geographies with interdepartmental business partners, such as Product/Solutions Marketing, Field Marketing, Brand, Business Operations, and Corporate Communications.
A key element to success will be the ability to build strong relationships with Sales Leadership and Technology Services to support the attainment of goals across all global theatres.

Areas of Focus
  • Lead and inspire a diverse global team: Inspire and lead a diverse international group to establish the systems/tools/process, customer experiences, and digital demand gen investments that optimize business outcomes and maximize investment outcomes. Establish and drive global alignment on quarterly budget, goals, outcomes, priorities, and accountabilities.
  • Build and Optimize the Digital Revenue Engine (Enabled to compete in a SaaS world): Link arms across sales, marketing, and product to establish the strategy and execution plan of the Digital Revenue Engine. The Engine will enable Nutanix to drive demand for new offerings, offers, and critical content that target personas and buying centers, expand our footprint within accounts, and gain new customers. Successful execution of the global growth and demand strategy will ensure deeper levels of automation, visibility, and insights into customer engagement and drive incremental increases in conversion rates throughout the lead funnel.
  • Build and Optimize the Nutanix Digital experience: This role will drive alignment and adoption of our Web Experience vision/strategy to accelerate the experience we provide for our customers in a personalized way and to compete more effectively. Nutanix properties (including will provide seamless access to information and enable click, try, buy experiences and highlight critical resources that help customers/prospects make business decisions.
  • Accelerate outcomes by establishing Nutanix as a data-driven, accountable organization: Drive further transformation by leveraging performance and customer data and insights to accelerate how we apply this to our processes, performance optimization, demand gen investment, and customer experience.
  • Drive Revenue Impact: Partner across the organization to deliver incremental gains in Marketing Sourced Pipeline and Marketing Sourced Bookings from digital investments in Paid Media, digital events, digital nurture, SEO, and Social media. Create an engine for attribution and audience/persona insights to add new customers and optimize the impact of spend. Drive a team that will engage and accelerate customers through the Discover-Learn-Try-Buy experience by optimizing first touch, digital nurture, and velocity engagements with high-value content, personalized experiences/messages, and clear CTAs. Ensure deep alignment with Field Marketing and Sales to maximize outcomes.
  • Optimize for local markets: Evangelize proven best practices within local markets, including customer success stories. Establish strong relationships with Sales leaders and strategic partners across our global theaters. Partner with Theater marketing leads and Sales leaders to build and optimize globally consistent systems and processes that support pipeline development and deal acceleration.

About you

Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of marketing leadership experience.
10+ years experience in digital demand gen, marketing ops, and web experience.
Experience leading digital transformation in a software environment.
Deep acumen in industry best practices, competitive benchmarks, and innovative demand gen strategies in a SaaS B2B environment.
Recognized leader for driving excellent financial results while building a trusting and positive work environment.
Shown ability to lead and influence teams in a highly matrixed environment.
Proven ability to partner and collaborate across key functional areas such as Sales, IT, and products.
Extraordinary experience establishing strategies, metrics, and execution plans that enable core focus on performance across the organization (especially in partnership with sales).
Technical acumen related to digital customer experiences and digital demand gen best practices.
