The Opportunity
Looking for passionate code to join Nutanix Move which builds VM and Files Mobility solutions between and across On Prem Data centres and Public Clouds. You will build new Migration paths and build complex orchestration features to ease Migrations of VMs, Files , Networks and Security Policies across HyperVisors and Public Clouds.

You will report to Amit Agrawal, Director of Engineering, who brings a wealth of experience in the storage and networking domain from companies like Dell EMC and Cisco. Amit is dedicated to fostering a culture of growth, where every team member is valued and empowered to succeed. Our work setup at Nutanix embraces a hybrid model, combining teamwork and individual autonomy. You will be expected to come into the office 2–3 days a week, allowing for collaboration with colleagues while also providing the flexibility to work independently and contribute your unique insights to projects.
Your Role
- Develop solutions to enable seamless mobility of applications across different hypervisors - ESXi/Hyper-V/AHV and public cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements.
- Work on performance, scaling out and resiliency of applications on different environments.
- Work closely with development, test, documentation and product management teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Engage with customers and support when needed to solve issues.
- Create effective unit and integration tests.
- Ability to write scripts and tools for development and debugging.
What You Will Bring
- 1-3 years of experience as a systems (virtualization/Back end) developer
- Love of programming and rock-solid in one or more languages: Go, C, C++, for enterprise-quality software
- Development experience in a couple of the following areas: operating systems, database back-ends, Cloud technologies
- Experience with Virtualization, microservices, Dockers/containers.
- Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V) and CloudInfrastructure is a plus.
- Experience working with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is a plus.
- A Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related field, with up to 3 years of experience, is required.
