About the Team
The Subscription team within SaaS Engineering is a dynamic group of full-stack and AI engineers dedicated to delivering full-stack, generative AI-powered business solutions. With team members based in both San Jose, CA, and India—including a tight-knit 5-member US team—we foster a collaborative atmosphere that promotes technical excellence and innovative problem-solving. Our primary objective is to address complex business challenges by blending traditional software engineering with generative AI, allowing us to rapidly deliver data-driven solutions that enhance the customer experience, drive sales, and improve productivity across our platforms.
Your Role
- Independently develop and deploy 5 to 10 real-world automated workflows and features, enhancing backend operations.
- Transition manual UI tasks into intelligent, chat-based triggers that execute complex background code automatically.
- Utilize generative AI tools to leverage the "50/50 rule," focusing on high-level architecture and integration.
- Create robust Java and Python code for data analysis and generative AI-powered features in the SaaS Subscription platform.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers for mentorship and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Complete the transition of manual processes into intelligent solutions within the first 30 days of engagement.
- Deliver core automation workflows and data processes within the first 60 days to drive productivity improvements.
- Present final projects and their business impacts to stakeholders within the first year, showcasing the transition to an "AI Orchestrator."
What You Will Bring
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment visa status, such as an F-1, H-1 B, or TN visa.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Familiarity with AI tools and concepts, particularly in generative AI.
- Experience with software development frameworks and methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data and develop data-driven solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on high-level architecture and integration.
- Strong communication and partnership skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for technology and eagerness to learn and embrace new tools like Claude and Cursor.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship (no OPT/CPT).
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e., San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Your manager will provide additional team-specific guidance and norms.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 36 and USD $ 60 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
