The Opportunity
We at Nutanix Move build VM Mobility solutions between and across On-Prem
Data centers and Public Clouds. The Nutanix Move team is looking to hire a
strong technical individual contributor to help define and drive development of
the next-gen Move .

You will report to the Director of Engineering, who values open communication,
mentorship, and the professional development of team members. This role offers
a hybrid work setup, requiring you to come into the office 3 days a week,
allowing for a balance between collaboration with your teammates and focused
time on individual work.
Your Role
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python or Go
Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices for core Move platform
features - Work on data processing, orchestration, and system integrations across
hybrid cloud environments - Integrate AI/ML-driven capabilities to enhance automation, migration
intelligence, and insights - Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and ML teams to deliver end-to-
end solutions - Contribute to architecture, design discussions, and code reviews
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
- Engage with customers/support teams when needed to solve critical issue
What You Will Bring
- 1–2 years of experience as a Backend/Software Engineer
- Strong programming skills in Python or Go
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
fundamentals - Experience in building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
- Basic understanding or hands-on experience in AI/ML concepts (e.g., ML
models, NLP, or data processing) - Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or distributed systems is preferred
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote
work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will
mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles
and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-
specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
